Free viagra for Chilean seniors
May 6th, 2008 by Holly Fox
This New York Times article about a Chilean town offering free Viagra to qualified seniors caught my eye because I blogged about Chile’s Constitutional Court stopping a government-sponsored giveaway of the morning-after pill only a couple of weeks ago.
Lo Prado Mayor Gonzalo Navarrete said he launched the program because ”an active sexuality improves the overall quality of life.”
Religious groups didn’t want the government to be handing out the morning-after pill, arguing that it violates the “right to life” promised by the Chilean constitution. Looks like Chileans have a right to sexual satisfaction as well.
